ok, this past summer my violin was stolen out of my car, and even though a good friend was kind enough to purchase me a replacement, I still have a problem. He bought me an electric violin, which sounds great, except for the fact that the strings keep breaking.

Is there any particular type of strings that is better for electric violins? I am at my wits end, I have replaced the strings six times in four months.

I like D'Addario's Helicore, but check your bridge to make sure you don't have any rough edges, assuming that's where there the strings are breaking.
